Joiners movers and leavers

Whilst many medium to large organisations have formal HR systems that manage staff and payroll, they still use spreadsheets and emails to obtain approval for new staff or to off-board leavers.

Spreadsheets often need to be emailed to gain approval and delays mean phone calls or more emails. The entire process can be centralised and made to work around your organisation.

SharePoint can provide a single JML portal for hiring managers to seek approval to recruit new permanent or contact staff.  

The requests are saved into a single list for approval consideration and relayed back to hiring managers via their own dashboard. The whole system works without a single email being sent, as enquiries can be dealt with via a built-in system that allows quick and easy logging and replies are shown in the hiring manager's dashboard.

Reports can be generated to show staff by region or employment type and this can be done by pivot tables in MS Excel or embedding Excel graphs in the dashboards.

The next stage in the process is to add the new joiner details to the approval system, so they can be set up on the IT systems and get any security passes issued. If appropriate, the hiring managers can use the templated new joiner emails to welcome the starters to the organisation.

Once a person has been identified as leaving the organisation, their details and leaving date can be added to SharePoint to allow systems and security access to be removed or closed, as required.
